Recharge Your Energy

Personal development is a life-long endeavor, one that takes a conscious decision, courage, determination, dedication, effort, patience, and study time, among other things. Besides working on your mindset and your attitude, you must also have an inquisitive and open mind not only to research and learn what excites you, but to be able to recognize the subtle variations in the vibrations within you and around you; so when you need a boost, you can recharge your energy and remain positive overall.

However, despite your determination and apart from recognizing your countless blessings and the many things you have to be grateful for, there are days in which stress may get the best out of you and leave you with a feeling of doom and gloom… Does it sound familiar? Yes, we’ve all “been there”… at one point or another we all have felt drained as we absorb other people’s emotional states and negative vibes from the environment and from what happens around us.

This comes about as a result of pressures at work, when you get sick, feel tired or have not slept well, when you have a misunderstanding with a loved one and get hurt, when a communication barrier arises, and even when we watch the news. As a result, you end up feeling worn out. It can be tough to regain your strength and feel positive again. This is when you need to take some time for yourself to recharge your energy and renew your spirits.

Here are a handful of ideas to help you recharge your energy and recover from less than perfect situations in life.

  • Take a Break from It “All” in a Snap!

Leave the cause of your stress for a few minutes, both physically and mentally. This tip is applicable particularly when you are feeling overwhelmed because of many things going on around you at the same time.

Find a place to sit quietly by yourself and close your eyes for a few moments. Take a few deep breaths and relax. In your mind, recite your favorite affirmation a few times to yourself, slowly. After a few minutes, take a deep breath again and gently open your eyes. This short break can give you a new perspective on the issue – or issues – at hand.

  • Meditate

This is similar to the previous one but a bit more formal, so to say. Take 20 to 30 minutes to just “be” with yourself. Close your eyes and breathe deeply and slowly a few times until you feel peace inside by disconnecting your mind from the outside world. Focus on the air going in and out of your longs. This feeling will initiate a meditative state.

Try not to think of anything if at all possible. If that is difficult, focus your mind on an imaginary object or a vision that can relax you. Here are a few ideas. You can make variations as you see fit:

    • A great shower of light is bathing you and enfolding you in warmth. This light not only wraps you but fills your being with peace all the way to the core.
    • You are a feather floating in the air. You become lighter and lighter as you glide downward. You finally touch the ground, softly and gently. You landed on a beautiful prairie. As you lie there, you realize all negative feelings and heaviness have left your body. You are basically weightless.
    • As you breathe in, you inhale peace, as you breathe out you release all ill feelings and stress. As you breathe slowly and deeply, imagine all the negative thoughts and feelings you are releasing. You may want to add color to your visualization; i.e. breathing in reflects peace, the air going in is light blue; breathing out reflects stress, the air is bright red or dark.

A relaxing piece of music can help in your meditation. Also, listening to the music alone and letting it wash away your worries and concerns can also work, even without using your imagination. Music is known as a way to recharge your energy because of its inherent vibrations (more on this in a minute)… Try several variations and see what works best for you.

  • Replenish Your Energy from Mother Nature

You don’t need to go too far to do this. If you don’t live by the ocean or the mountains, you can draw energy from focusing on the beauty of a simple flower, a bird, or a tree. Take note of the object’s every detail. What color is it? Shape? How does it move with the wind? What is the texture? Is it smooth? Drink or absorb its essence and imagine this essence filling you with positive renewed energy.

  • Ask for Energy

As they say… “Ask and you shall receive”… The people who love and support you can be a very powerful source of new energy.

Their help can be especially valuable to recharge your energy when you are having a hard time replenishing it on your own, and especially if they are positive by nature.

When you are feeling tired, overwhelmed or depressed, you can ask people close to you to send you energy. You can make your request by letting them know how you are feeling and that you need positive energy.

They can share theirs with a fuzzy hug, a warm smile, a pat on the back, making you laugh, or simply by keeping you company, all of which are empathetic actions.

  • Give Your Energy to Others

You may think that when you are down, sad or stressed, you are depleted of all of your energy and that you no longer have any to spare; much less to give away.

However, sometimes the act of giving that little energy you have will initiate the giving and receiving cycle and you will very likely end up receiving more. For example, if a friend has a problem and asks for your opinion and support, you could end up forgetting about your own worries for a moment and focus your attention on him/her. When you do this, there is an exchange of energy where you offer support. The mere act of giving energy in this manner will actually help you recharge your energy by drawing it back to you.

How To Raise Your Vibrations 

to Manifest Your Desires

If you have been studying the law of attraction for awhile, you know that there is one concept that comes up often at the top of the list… You MUST raise your vibrations in order to manifest your desires.

Yes, I’m sure you have read or heard this numerous times BUT… What exactly does it mean to raise your vibrations? How do you go about raising your vibrations? And once you are doing it… how do you know if you are indeed raising your vibrations to attract what you want? For many, these questions remain unanswered and as such, it leaves them wondering how to move forward with this “vibration and manifesting” concept… So let’s explore this in more detail.

Question #1… What does it mean to raise your vibration?

To better understand this, let’s take a couple of minutes for a physics mini-lesson. Vibration is defined as the rhythmical and rapid motion of particles. When two bodies vibrate at the same frequency, they are said to be in resonance. This means they are attuned with each other.

Now, according to Quantum Physics, every single thing in the universe is energy. From this premise, it is safe to conclude that solid objects are a form of energy expressed as physical matter. And, since matter is composed of particles, energy is also particles. Correct?

In short, matter and energy are interchangeable, meaning one can “be converted into” the other. Thus, the only difference between the physical and non-physical is the state of the energy which is determined by the amplitude and frequency of the motion of its particles. This is what is called “vibration rate” and what allows for the invisible to become visible when your inner vibration is attuned with the vibration of the intended object or result.

Now, as human beings we perceive the world around us from the vibrations we receive and process through our five senses. Our brain interprets these signals and gives them meaning. This happens all the time either consciously or unconsciously.

When you hear a bird chirping, for instance, your brain receives the signals through your auditory sense and interprets the vibrations caused by the sound waves emitted by the bird. When you see a rainbow, your eyes are conveying to your brain the reflection of the light waves which are created by vibrations.

The same goes for touch. When you hold a glass of ice water you feel it cold because its molecules are vibrating at a lower frequency than those of your body temperature and as such, you feel the vibrations of cold.

Sweet or sour, bitter or salty, whatever you taste also manifests from the vibration of the molecules in the foods that you are putting in your mouth. Then, when you perceive the aroma of a rose is because its molecules vibrate in the air which you perceive through your sense of smell.

These interpretations of our brain create feelings and emotions which are also vibrations. For instance, imagine you are walking on a calm beach, watching a beautiful sunset, enjoying the warm temperature on your skin, listening to the waves breaking offshore and smelling the salt in the air… how do you feel?

According to memories and prior experiences you may or may not like the ocean; regardless of your feeling, it creates a vibration. If you enjoy this experience, you will raise your vibration. If this doesn’t bring good memories to you, your vibration decreases. The same is true for every thought and memory that comes to mind, so make it a habit to watch what you are thinking of on a regular basis. Remember that thoughts and memories do not necessarily match your present moment!

Are you getting a better picture on how you create and raise your vibration? Once you are aware of this, you understand that you can create them intentionally. Let’s move to Question #2 to learn how to raise your vibrations at will.

Question #2… How do you go about raising your vibrations?

When you are feeling down, have received bad news or just when things aren’t going your way, you are vibrating at a lower rate. Acknowledge that if you stay in that state, you will attract more of the same.

The good news is that you can do something about it. There are not one or two, but literally hundreds of ways in which you can raise your vibrations. I will list five of my favorite ones below and I invite you here to share what has helped raise your vibrations to manifest something, no matter how small it was! Sharing and learning from each other will only help us all manifest our desires faster!

  • Music
     
    This is one practice that I keep close at heart. I have a collection of CDs with my favorite New Age and instrumental music that sends me to a higher vibration right away! And speaking of the sense of hearing, white noise also has the power to raise my vibrations. I enjoy listening to rain, waterfalls, and rivers, among other Mother Nature’s noises
  • Reading
     
    Nothing better than reading an inspirational non-fiction story to raise my vibrations! I especially like biographies of people who have had challenges and overcame them regardless of circumstances.
  • Journal Writing or Scripting
     
    When I take a few moments to write about the things I feel grateful about, I immediately feel a shift in my energy! However, writting habitually is even better. It helps you raise your vibrations as you do and then it is easier to maintain them in between your journaling sessions. Give it a try… it is also very conforting to the soul.
  • Walks by the lake or on the sand
     
    In general, being outdoors and in contact with Mother Nature is a great tonic for my vibes. One of my favorites is walking on the beach, especially during sunset when the views are fantastic as I get to appreciate Mother Nature’s canvas in vivid color!
  • Meditation
     
    Whenever I’ve had a stressful day (stress lowers your vibrations) I take a few minutes to put my mind at ease through meditation. I can feel uplifted right away just by focusing on my breathing and letting go of thoughts. Try it!
    Your turn to share… what do you do when you feel down? How do you quiet your mind to alleviate your worry or release your stress? Can you think about something that you manifested, no matter how small it was? What happened right before then? How were you feeling right before you got what you wanted?

    You probably didn’t know that by soothing yourself in a certain way you were instinctively raising your vibrations… and by doing so, you were facilitating the manifestation of your desire – but now you do!

    Question #3… How do you know if you are raising your vibrations to match those of what you want to manifest?

    This is the easiest step in the manifesting process for once you know how to raise your vibrations; the next step is visualizing what you want from that state of emotion. Here is an example:

    Let’s say that you have been stressed out because your car has left you stranded often recently and your intention is to manifest a reliable car. Notice how you feel every time you think about your old car… stressed out equals low vibrations. Now, take a few moments to put your mind at ease. You may choose to take a walk and focus on the good things you have in your life. Become aware of how you are raising your vibrations just by doing this.

    Next, visualize yourself driving the car you want. Add detail to your visualization until it appears so real as if you could almost touch it… then, allow yourself to feel the emotion. Stay in that state for as long as you want and then bring your visualization to an end by affirming… “This is so; it has already happened.” Now, take action – start looking for the car you want. Don’t worry about how it will happen, just move forward with confidence. Repeat as often as possible until your new car is parked on your driveway!

One of the first things we learn about the law of attraction and quantum manifesting, is that in order to manifest our desires, we must begin by taking control of our thoughts. However, even before we attempt to take control or change our thoughts, we must become aware of a few facts, and consciously acknowledge and accept them.

First and foremost, know that you are the creator of your own reality and destiny. This implies a great deal of responsibility. If you are ready to change your life experience, you must accept this responsibility in its entirety.

This means you start by studying your thought patterns to then understand why you act the way you do and clearly see why you are getting the results you experience.

Second, realize that everything you wish for already exists on another plane of existence or in different form. As you know, everything IS energy and as such it cannot be created nor destroyed, only modified. Thus, like a child playing with play-dough, you have an amazing opportunity to mold and create what you want starting with what you have.

Third, atoms are made up of non-solid subatomic elements that are neither particles nor waves; however, they can behave like both. As strange as this may sound, this allows for these bits of energy to behave according to the observer and his intention. In other words, they are 100% malleable and from that premise you can conclude that there is only one constant in every ‘experiment’ in your life and that is YOU.

Did you watch it? Now you know it is YOU who gets to decide how these particles are to behave in order to create what you want in your life… when you think about it, the possibilities are truly unlimited! As soon as you internalize these concepts and make them yours, you start living from the knowing versus from the wishing for, hoping for, dreaming of…  and once you achieve this inner knowing, then and only then will quantum manifesting become as easy as child’s play.

As hard as it is to believe the unseen, consider this… Buckminster Fuller, American inventor, author and creator of the term “Spaceship Earth” said that 99.99% of science is invisible to our five senses and nevertheless it is very real!

I’d like to add an example that we can relate to because we all have experienced it at one time or another… the common cold. Caused by a microscopic virus that cannot be seen with the naked eye… does the fact that we cannot see the virus makes it non-existent? That’s non-sense, right?

The fact is we -human beings- live interacting with our surrounding environment through our five senses, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that we perceive ALL that exists. It’s been proven, for instance, that certain animals can perceive high pitch sounds that are non-audible to humans. This only means that there is stuff happening around us that we are not even aware of!

Furthermore, we are creatures of habit and like such, we are used to certain things behaving in a certain way. Thus, it takes time to create a shift in our personal and collective paradigms. Add to this that we are living in the middle of one of the largest paradigm shifts that mankind has ever experienced and it is easy to see why we may experience some resistance to openning our minds to the possibilities when we first hear of quantum theory and quantum manifesting.

About 300 years ago, Sir Isaac Newton revolutionized the world when he began describing the phenomena that surrounded him in a mechanical and practical way that explained how everything worked and why it worked the way it did.

At the time, everything was easily proved as he used ‘observation’ with the naked eye as his main scientific tool. For instance, when he observed an apple falling from a tree, he discovered gravity.

Those concepts evolved into the laws of physics that ruled the world for about 200 years. Then, a new era of sub-atomic energy emerged in the late part of the 19th century and everything changed.

The new Quantum Mechanics Theory has opened a new door to view and experience the world around us in a very different way and it challenges Newton’s laws as scientists begin to admit that the mere act of observing can change the result of any experiment according to the observers’ intention. Looking at this concept a bit deeper we realize that the observer and the observed are not separate… you and I, and every other person and thing in the universe, are all connected. You’ve probably heard that we are “star dust” and it makes perfect sense. Every single thing in existence today came from the primordial energy, which was the size of a pea when the Big Bang ocurred!

This understanding is what creates the new paradigm, a completely new way to perceive the world, life, our reality and every single thing. Everything is subjective. We are part of a consciousness that is interconnected and it is all ultimately, one energy.

The concepts above lead to the Quantum Manifesting principle. When we learn to use our mind to ‘observe’ our reality the way we intend it to be, we are actively engaging in quantum mechanics to manifest our desires; meaning, we are attempting to mold and create a certain reality.

We do this by applying what we know of the wave/particle duality to our advantage. In other words, the observer (you) of an intention (the ‘experiment‘) can change the outcome according to intention where the purpose itself rearranges particles in a precise way out of waves with multiple possibilities.

The keywords here are intention and observation. Picture the waves of possibility extended throughout space and all the way to the infinite. They are one thing and all things simultaneously. They are in this state indefinitely when they remain unobserved.

Once observed with a particular intention, these waves contract abruptly (quantum jump) aligning themselves into precise patterns according to that specific intention and create an outcome that materializes accordingly. This is what we call Quantum Manifesting.

When we live passively throughout life, we are manifesting by default, by chance and as things happen… it all happens unconsciously. Know that when you are not making a decision, you are making a decision… the decision not to decide; thus, things happen randomly and on automatic.

Realize that you –as an observer have the potential to manifest by true intention and choice through Quantum Manifesting by deciding to do so. Knowing this… what will you decide? what will you choose to manifest in your life experience from now on?

Your Key to Accomplishments

If you want a more positive and productive life direction, you must learn to motivate yourself and most importantly, to keep your motivation going.

Motivation is the crucial skill of achievers; a powerful driving force that induces you to do what you must do with the intention to reach a specific goal. For this purpose, the first element to become motivated is a definite goal based on a strong desire. This will not only ignite the motivation, but keep it going when you find challenges on your way.

As you know, it is much easier to become motivated if you feel passionate about your goal. The opportunity must present an exciting challenge that will get you focused on your tasks until you get what you want.

Some claim that motivation is extrinsic. This means that a meaningful goal will ignite the motivation; whatever you want to achieve is ‘out there’ which becomes the external stimuli, much like a carrot on a stick scenario. Others think that the motivation is intrinsic, that it should come from within or it won’t last.

In my opinion one cannot exist without the other. To develop intrinsic motivation, you must have an extrinsic factor that motivates you and vice-versa. One feeds on the other, so to say. On top of that, the passion to achieve your goal becomes your “why” – your powerful reason that has a special meaning to you and the one you will commit to remember every time you feel your motivation is dwindling down. Are you with me so far?

Think of it this way… you have the goal of driving a car from point “A” to point “B.” The motivation is that you will get something of value to you when you get to point “B” – for the purpose of this example, we’ll call it a trophy. So you jump in the car with that definite goal: getting to point “B” and get your trophy. You turn the ignition key with that purpose in mind. The trophy is at the end of your journey. The trophy is your extrinsic factor.

Your initial motivation prompts you to jump start the engine. It keeps its momentum going by your accelerating and getting closer to point “B” as time goes by. You are following a well planned and specific road map; however, you find some challenges on the road; i.e. there are no gas stations, you get tired and sleepy, you get a flat, etc. All of a sudden you feel like giving up. Then, you remember your “why”… you think of how long you’ve wanted this trophy, you want it so bad that no matter what, you will find the way to overcome the challenges and get to point “B.” This “why” is your intrinsic factor.

In other words, you must define what inspires and moves you deeply to achieve a certain thing. This thing is your extrinsic motivation, and will help you jump start your motivation engine to initiate the work to achieve your goal. When you get distracted or procrastinate or get unmotivated for whatever reason, you will remember what inspired you in the first place which will keep the momentum going (intrinsic motivation.)  This will eventually culminate in fulfillment, happiness and satisfaction. It will also raise your self-confidence and motivate you to achieve new goals.

This would happen once and again in an ideal world, of course. Unfortunately, we are not perfect so we are bound to feel lack of motivation sometimes. Even someone who is normally very motivated can have difficulty getting started on an important task at times. So… is there a solution for this?

Absolutely! There are probably dozens of them. The following are some of the best motivation tips that will consistently work when you apply them. Give them a try!

Self Motivation Tips That Work!

1. Share your plans. Let’s say that you are a writer and have had writer’s block for the past few days. To get the ideas flowing, talk to someone you trust about your next writing project. This will surely ignite your motivation, get you out of the slump and back at the keyboard. For less inspiring tasks, share with a trustworthy friend the larger goals that your smaller tasks will help you achieve. (A note of caution: do not share freely with everyone. They can try to talk you out of achieving your goals.)

2. Train yourself as a sales person. A good salesman or saleswoman can sell ice cream in the North Pole or 3-piece suits in the Sahara desert. As much as we don’t like to admit it, we all are sort of sales people. Think about this… when you are talking to a potential employer, you are selling yourself and your abilities. When you want to go to a certain movie, you are selling the idea to your spouse. Learn to be your own salesman or saleswoman by talking to yourself about how your life will be amazing once you achieve your goal.

3. Stimulate your own pain. As Tony Robbins says, we all perform based on pain and pleasure. One Neuro-Linguistic Programming technique that he suggests is to mentally link pain with not acting. It’s something similar to finally stopping the snooze button on the alarm clock to get up or you will lose your job. In that same fashion, imagine the consequences if you don’t do what you must do.

4. Find an intrinsic value in your mundane task. Sometimes we must put up with smaller, less exciting tasks in order to get to the goal we want to achieve. For instance, you may not like all the preparations that go on before you embark on a camping trip, but the reward of getting to bathe on amazing waterfalls and taking pictures of wildlife is well worth the effort. Always think of your greater goal when you are doing boring tasks or things you dislike.

5. Boost your energy. For self-motivation, you need energy. Exercising, sleeping well and eating a good diet will help boost your energy levels. Avoid sugary foods as they may result in ups and downs of stamina. Moderate caffeine as well. Perhaps a protein shake may do the trick too. Once you find energy boosters that work for you, make a list and keep it handy for future use.

6. Take small steps. As with anything in life, constancy is better than huge amounts of sporadic dedication to something. I’ve found that if I commit to writing half an hour per day is way more productive in the long run than if I just write for 3 to 5 hours once per week. Also remember to break large tasks into smaller, more manageable ones. One small step at a time, you will accomplish great things!

These motivation tips truly work; however, the paradox is that you must also get motivated to do them… which brings us back full circle to the beginning of this article… if your “why” is big enough, it it carries an important meaning to you, I believe you will find the motivation to do whatever it takes to achieve your goal.

In any case, if you were motivated enough to read this far, I’m sure I can congratulate you. You’ll be fine. Just stick to it no matter what. Oh, I almost forgot… humor is also very important.  Don’t be too hard on yourself. We all needs breaks every now and then. A good laugh can overcome that feeling of being overwhelmed that sucks away your energy and your self motivation.

The Fundamental Force Behind Manifestation

Every time you wish for something, the desire to have, be or do emerges from within. This desire gives life to aspiration and excitement, and from there the resolve to manifest your wish is born. Because of this, it is essential to understand the fundamental steps that can take you from desire to manifestation.

The first vital element towards manifesting anything resides in the development of an active imagination. Actually, many people say that it is difficult for them to create powerful visualizations. The cause behind this is not knowing how to use imagination in a way that is conducive to success. Therefore, to visualize effectively you must learn to use your imagination actively, frequently, and extensively.

Mastering the skill  to create ideas and pictures on your mental screen that are clear, colorful and vivid ‘as if’ they were already happening, is a must. The more skillful you become at imagination, the easier it will be to visualize your ideals and the faster you will manifest what you want.

From the premise above, you can clearly see a correlation between belief and imagination for the more powerful images you create in your mind, the better you’ll get at influencing your subconscious mind to believe in what’s possible. Because of this, working on your ability to imagine vividly should be the first step to embed belief in your subconscious mind. From there, faith develops and you get to act with certainty. As such, manifestation becomes effortless.

And here is something you won’t hear too often… it is much easier to start working on imagination than on belief. Actually, the natural result of active and vivid imagination leads to belief. Here’s why…

Belief can be both subjective and objective. For this reason, it is not easy to develop belief just by wanting to believe. To create a belief you must take charge of your mind and command it to believe that a certain intended reality is not only possible but probable, despite the conclusions it might have drawn from the subjective reality around you. In other words, a belief gets its solidity when the mind pushes subjectivity aside and becomes objective based on a determined purpose.

Here’s an example to better understand this… Let’s say that you want to implant in your mind the belief that you can become a millionaire but the reality around you is not supportive for its manifestation. You have a job that barely pays the bills, you frequently find yourself wanting certain things that you can’t afford, and everywhere you go you hear people complaining about the economy and that they can’t do this or that because of lack of funds.

The prior sentence is filled with underlying biased affirmations of lack, limitation, and scarcity. The implication here is that your desire to become a millionaire is being influenced by those outer circumstances (which are 100% subjective) and because your subconscious mind’s job is to protect you, it will support those circumstances becoming objective over them and taking them as facts. This will discredit your belief as you remain in your comfort zone.

This can become a vicious cycle indeed, unless you become aware of what’s happening. Once you’re aware, you’ll be able to break the cycle. From the stance of awareness, you get to take control over your objective mind by realizing that your current reality is not to be taken as irrevocable fact. The events that surround you and the thoughts of scarcity (yours and others’) are 100% subjective, and as such malleable. Taking subjectivity as objectivity is what has prevented you from instilling new beliefs in your subconscious mind.

Before you can actually acquire a belief –any belief- you must learn to grab hold of your objective mind and convince it that your desire is indeed possible regardless of outer circumstances. And this is where imagination becomes your best ally as it is not subjective nor objective but free of conditioned circumstances.

Unlike belief, imagination doesn’t draw its focus from the subjective world but lives and thrives within, where you can choose what you “see” and experience. This is because imagination is not perceived by the senses –but the senses can freely be used in imagination.

In this way, imagination is an extremely powerful ability as it is limitless. It allows you to go as far as you desire, to be or do whatever you can imagine. Just think about it! You can be in different places, experience a variety of situations, and even explore alternative realities… all within. From this angle, imagination is not just child’s play; wouldn’t you agree?

You can travel to a remote place, meet the people you long to meet, talk to masters and learn from teachers, choose the sensations you want to feel, experience love, thrill and happiness, and even taste exotic foods and enjoy the aroma of the flowers you see… all in your imagination!

There are no obstacles to imagination, but the ones you impose on yourself.

And imagination is much more than daydreaming because the later is usually a temporary pastime with no real plan of action or definite intention. On the other hand, imagination empowers you because you can direct it at will and even plan how things will happen. When you engage in active imagination, you have complete control. You can add, take off or change anything to make the images in your mind better, brighter, happier, healthier or richer in any way you desire.

Knowing that active imagination is truly free of boundaries, and that you can take it as far as you want, makes it evident that it is an essential mechanism to manifest and achieve success in every area of life. When you imagine the outcome you intend to experience clearly and on a regular basis, you become emotionally involved. And as you add emotion to your regular imagination of the same scene, it becomes a belief.

At that point, the subjective world vanishes as you get focused on the object of your mind’s image for emotion and repetition have made it tangible. This is when things start happening as if by miracle. This is how true manifesting takes place!

Money and Beliefs

Do you want more money?

Do you feel like you’re working long hours and you’re not getting any closer to your dreams and goals?

Are you tired of simply not experiencing the results you want no matter how hard you work?

Yes? Why do you think this is so?

You may not even be able to answer that last question, but do not worry. Most of us can’t, at least at first.

You see, most likely you are carrying around certain money beliefs that were planted in your mind as you were growing up. And those beliefs have become a part of who you are without you even knowing it.

For instance, did you ever hear statements like… “Money doesn’t grow on trees”, or “You must go in early and come home late before you can go in late and come home early”?  How about “The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer” or “You’ve got to have money to make money”?

Yes? Now, tell me… Are those your beliefs or somebody else’s beliefs? Stop and think about it. Even if you now believe those statements, did you come up with those conclusions yourself? Most likely, your answer is “No, I did not.” 

Considering this, it would be safe to assume that the root of all money problems is never money itself. Are you with me so far? Your beliefs about money have nothing to do with having to make more of it, saving more each month, working longer hours, getting a second job, winning the lottery, receiving a monetary gift or just getting lucky.

You see, money problems are strongly linked to your own beliefs about money. This is the main cause of this. However, lack of money also comes from other beliefs that are not directly linked to money. Don’t get confused. More about this in a bit.

For now, just know that your perception of reality is based on those old money beliefs that you’ve been carrying around, and the majority of those beliefs are not even authentically yours! They were implanted in your subconscious mind while you were growing up by people around you such as, your parents, teachers, family, and community members.

Some of these beliefs can have roots that date to several generations before yours. They have been “downloaded” from parents to children and so forth and so on. Know that these were well intended people that wanted to protect you, so no need for resentments here.

The idea comes from the belief (yep, another belief) that wanting leads to suffering. So be grateful for what they thought they were protecting you from, and be aware of the fact that fortunately, you have the power to change those implanted beliefs now.

Let’s now explore the non-related beliefs that negatively affect your manifesting more money that I mentioned above.

Think about this… your beliefs about success, rich people, power, professions and careers, authority figures, freedom, spending and struggle, all have to do with how you perceive money and abundance; and here’s the most important belief of them all: your belief about how much you truly deserve to have more money. Doubting your self-worth and your self-confidence can be a huge bock to make it happen!

Take a moment and think about this all… does any of those points hit close to home? If so, congratulations, for the first step to change anything is to acknowledge that something needs change.

From that point of awakening, your first step to have more money coming into your life is to identify your personal money beliefs, the ones that have no purpose in your life today. Then you must replace them with beliefs that are more aligned with your goals and the abundance you want to create.

I almost hear you asking… OK, I got it. I know what they are, but… how can I change those beliefs that got me stuck and are blocking my progress? And, can the belief alone in something turn my wishes into reality?

Please listen carefully… All of your questions come down to beliefs, yet again! If you TRULY believe in your heart that you can do something, then you can. As such, you MUST believe that you can eliminate your limiting beliefs and replace them with more empowering ones. It all starts with awareness and belief.

From that point, having faith in your higher-self and utilizing your mind’s power you can turn your wishes into reality. You can have more money. You can do, be or have whatever you want. But you must first believe that you can, and then go to work with that aim in mind.

These steps will help you with the process…

  • Identify the beliefs that are blocking you. Write them one one by one and leave a couple of lines between them.
  • Replace them with more empowering beliefs. Think of a way in which you can change every limiting belief into an empowering one. Use the lines below each to re-write your new beliefs.
  • Once your new beliefs are clearly stated, transfer them to a brand new page and read them daily and often.
  • Decide what you want to accomplish and make a step-by-step plan to meet each goal. Every time you get the feeling that you cannot do something, take a couple of minutes and read out loud your new beliefs.
  • Take action and follow through, knowing in your heart that things will turn out the way you want them to.
  • Enjoy the fruits of your labor!

You can definitely get what you want as long as you believe in yourself and in your goals, and you must follow through with actions based on your newly acquired money beliefs.

One important point is that your actions should be consistent with your values or you will end up sabotaging yourself. They must be aligned with your purpose and your priorities in life. And they ought to consider your talents and abilities.

Once all of this is into place, it’s amazing what happens next. Precise events and circumstances will be set in motion; you’ll start attracting people, situations and opportunities that will be aligned with your goal.

A word of caution, though… You must make every effort to live in awareness so you can notice these events when they arise.

It is unfortunate that many people miss the opportunities around them because they are blinded by their particular situations. Don’t be one of them! By sticking to your new beliefs and with a definite target in mind, you will ensure that your work will bring you closer to your goal. This in turn will fuel your motivation, and you’ll start seeing the bigger results you are striving for.

Ultimately, analyzing your money beliefs and working on replacing the ones that are not serving you anymore will get you in the right direction. This is your must do step #1.

Difficult? Not really. As with any worthwhile goal you must start with the desire to see changes in your life. Then, follow through with determination, and committed action to put things in motion. The rest will show up at the right time.

We, human beings, are the only living organisms that have the power of choice. No other life form on the face of the planet is able to choose their appearance, their attitude, their life course and even their circumstances.

Thus, the sooner we realize we have this power within us to make a positive change, the faster we will be able to live the quality of life we desire. Easier said than done, right? This is because realizing this power is only the first step.

Next, we must find the right tools to help ourselves into the next level. Fortunately, there is a way to reprogram our minds to reach the success we seek… easily and effortlessly!

Skeptical? I don’t blame you! But once you understand how the mind works and how subliminal stimuli can transform your mind at the level needed to create change, you will be more willing to give it a try.

First, let’s explore the mind. You have probably heard of the iceberg analogy. Imagine your mind like a huge iceberg floating on the ocean. And this is where it gets interesting… when you remember, for instance, a happy event of your childhood, the conscious mind asks the subconscious to access the storage of information to “retrieve that file.”

So far, so good. However, some files are inaccessible as a way to protect us from traumatic events that we may not be able to handle just yet. This is also the area where values are established and beliefs anchored helping us function in our day to day life.

Some of those beliefs might have served a purpose at some point, but they may be useless in your present life. In fact, they could be acting as blocks that impede the change you seek.

This is where subliminal messages can offer a powerful way to transform one’s life; they propose a safe alternative to change your perception and your attitude toward improving a particular area of your life by going directly to this area where beliefs and values are embedded and exerting change from within.

Create a Vision Board!

It’s time to get creative!

You might have heard of vision boards in the movie titled “The Secret.” A vision board is a powerful manifesting tool because it is based on the premise that every project of value must have a vision. If you believe that your life is a project of value -and every life is- then, you can greatly benefit from a vision board.

tree_collageA vision board is a tool that allows you to bring to life — so to speak — what you’d want your future to be like. It does this in a graphic way that has a high impact on your emotions, and it concentrates it all in one place. This will help you see your dreams and goals in a more tangible way.

It will also help you regain focus when the going gets though, and when you are feeling discouraged for one reason or another. It will remind you of your dreams and your WHY; the reason you are pursuing your goals.

In this manner, a vision board is like your treasure map!

The power to fulfill your dreams starts with one simple step… your ability to represent those dreams in YOUR own collage. Don’t disregard this step as a silly thing meant only for kids. This is a powerful tool and you should dedicate some time to creating it. It’s been proven to work time and again.

It is a well-known fact that our subconscious mind responds better and faster to pictures than words. This is one of the reasons that vision boards work. Imagine this tool as your own energy vortex which instructs your subconscious mind on exactly what you want so it goes to work on your behalf and figures out a way to get what you want!

This will manifest itself in the form of ideas that pop into your mind — seemingly out of nowhere — or serendipitous events where you’ll happen to meet the right person, at the right time, for the right reason or project… it is truly magical, or what some might call luck.

And the good news is that creating your vision board needs not to be a complex endeavor. What you need before you start is a visualization session (or a few) in which you are going to determine with as much detail as possible whatever you want in your life. You are going to see this first in your mind. Picture in your imagination what is it that will make you feel fulfilled and completely happy. Take as much time as you need for this, days even, as it is the most important first step. Then, you are to jot down every thing that comes to mind and makes you feel excited in anticipation – whatever it is!

Once your list of dreams, goals, and mind images get clear, you’re going to explore a few options to create your vision board. You can either do it yourself or you can use an online tool for a more “live” experience. Let’s explore both.

If you do it yourself, you’re going to need a pile of magazines, a glue stick, scissors, colorful markers, and a large notebook or poster board. Set aside 45 minutes to two hours to create your vision board. Enjoy the process as if you were a child again.

Start by flipping the magazines and look for any images that resemble what you pictured in your mind during thehouse_collage visualization exercise you’ve been practicing. Also, go through your notes to assert your dreams and goals. It’s important to choose pictures that resonate with you emotionally rather than rationally. Once you have enough pictures, cut them in nice shapes and start assembling them in a visually appealing way that you like.

Move the images around to see what feels right before you glue them permanently. There is no right or wrong way to do this. Play with it and see what catches your eye. Allow your feelings to guide you. Once you glue your images, use your markers to write concepts, words or quotes that relate to the pictures you chose. Use your previous notes as a guide to do this.

Draw images like flowers, hearts, smileys, whatever you like. Use the markers to brighten your board; write motivating words between the pictures; and let your creative juices flowing freely. Once you like the way it looks, you may choose to frame it or hang it in a prominent place in your home or office, where you can see it frequently. You’ll be referring to it often as a motivator and as you move throughout the steps that will take you to the realization of your dreams and ideal life… and don’t be surprised if you see your vision board coming to life as you go!

Your second and -in my opinion- THE BEST option is to use an electronic version of a vision board for which you’ll need either a piece of software or an online tool. There are several options in the market. Look for one that is user-friendly, short learning curve, and above it all, that is fun to use. Here are the reasons why I like this option better…

  • Quick and easy to put together (Don’t like it? Change it in a bliss!)
  • No special tech skills
  • More fun to create
  • Lots of pictures to choose from
  • MUSIC!! Add your favorite songs to it
  • Utilizes more of your senses (more effective!)
  • Awakens your feelings as it is live
  • IMPORTANT: You can change it with ease as your goals change
  • Just hit play every day and ENJOY!

An online tool not only makes the process easier but more fun and enjoyable. It is also likely to be more effective as it engages not only your vision, but your hearing sense too! We all know that music is a powerful motivator – especially the kind of music that moves us.

More importantly, a digital version of a vision board will add dimension to your experience, as it stimulates feelings and emotions needed to get rid of old beliefs that no longer serve you, and to induce the reprogramming of your subconscious mind.  This means that it is very likely that you will experience more intense and faster results!

Whatever option you choose, I highly recommend you create your own vision board at once. It has the power to transform your life experience!

Once you create it, dedicate just a few moments to focus on it every day, especially as you awake in the morning and right before you go to sleep. In the morning it will motivate you and help you start your day with optimism and positive expectation. And at night, it will help reprogram your subconscious mind right before you fall asleep.

You don’t need a lot of time either. Just like exercise, consistency is more important than long periods of gazing once in awhile. This is not daydreaming either. As you focus on your board, KNOW that those things are on their way to you.

Commit to just 10 to 20 minutes of daily visualization using your board. It will keep your focus and motivation going, and you will start manifesting your desires in no time at all!
