Prosperity Consciousness Formula

 Prosperity Consciousness

When you hear Prosperity Consciousness… what comes to mind?

Do you think of it as a special talent or ability that just a few people possess to accumulate as much riches as they desire? Or… do you think there is a way for you to get this prosperity consciousness so you too, can attract abundance to your life rather effortlessly?

If you answered yes to the first question, know that your belief system is what’s interfering with your realizing your prosperity. Achieving wealth is directly related to your beliefs about money … and about yourself. What you say or think about money affects your level of prosperity. Thus, changing your beliefs around money and prosperity should be the #1 priority in your list if what you want is to achieve prosperity.

Or… was your answer affirmative to the second question? If so, know that your belief is aligned with your purpose, and that is a great starting point. The next step is to learn and follow just a handful of key principles that once applied, will give you the power to change your life for the better. But let’s start at the beginning…

What exactly is prosperity consciousness?

Prosperity Consciousness is a term that was made popular by the New Age Movement in the late 60’s but in reality, the origin of this principle dates back to the beginning of time. Prosperity Consciousness refers to the belief that there are innumerable financial possibilities around us at any given time and in spite of the state of the economy, our education, our job or any other outer circumstances.

Prosperity Consciousness is a way of thinking that once acquired, will give you the power to create the prosperous life you so much desire.

As you know, one of the main principles of the law of attraction states that ‘like attracts like.’ When we think about old adages such as “you reap what you sow“, and “birds of a feather flock together” we can interpret them as ‘like attracts like.’

One of the ideologies around prosperity consciousness is that the universe encompasses everything, and as such it is abundant and where abundance comes from. Based on this, you can have what you want if you only believe that it’s possible and decide to constantly focus on that belief until it becomes a part of who you are.

Three important aspects to consider related to prosperity

First, prosperity is not the result of chance or luck. If it was just luck or random chance, you wouldn’t be able to control it. On the contrary, prosperity is completely under your control.

Second, you must realize that there is enough for everyone in this planet. You must let go of any scarcity thinking and get rid of the guilt associated with having prosperity because no one has to go without for you to have what you want. Prosperity Consciousness is acquiring the belief that we live in an abundant planet.

Third, if you want prosperity in your life, you must change your relationship with money. You’ve got to know deep inside that you deserve to live in abundance; deserve being the main keyword in this phrase.

There may be a need to work on the subconscious to acquire these beliefs. Once you are aware that money and prosperity aren’t things you achieve through luck or by taking away from others, you will feel that you can have as much as you want and remain guilt-free.

This belief will help you steer away from bad decisions because you won’t feel like you have to rush into getting your share before someone else takes it. It will also give you insight and patience, which are essential in the manifesting process.

There’s no need to fight or compete for prosperity and abundance since there’s enough for everyone in the universe. The need is to focus on the proper thoughts and make sure you believe that you can have prosperity for your own benefit and that of those that you come in contact with, which you can achieve by being of sevice to others doing whaveter fulfills your purpose and makes your heart sing with joy. Once your belief in this truth solidifies, your only job is to start giving and welcome prosperity into your life.

Whether you decide to pray, use affirmationsvisualization or ask the universe at large for the things you want – as Esther Hicks suggests- you must put out the invitation for those things to come into your life. By doing so, you create around yourself an aura of openness and acceptance to the abundance and prosperity that you say you want.

Do this and you’ll have acquired a prosperity consciousness.

Do this and you’ll start the flow of abundance into your life at once.

Do this and you’d have become a prosperity magnet.

Belief in the possibility of things to happen PLUS Faith in a Higher Power and in yourself PLUS Enthusiasm EQUALS Prosperity Consciousness. Let’s explore this a bit further…

First, take a few moments to revise your dreams and goals… do you believe in your heart they are possible or do you just enjoy daydreaming and think of them as pipe dreams? Beware… your mind can be your best ally of your worst enemy and will try to dissuade you from pursuing your dreams.

If you truly believe your dreams are a possibility, consider that everything of value that exists was first conceived in somebody’s mind. This mind had to have the firm belief that the goal was 100% possible before it became a tangible reality.

Once the belief is rooted, things get set in motion. Now it’s just a matter of following a few steps for it to manifest in the physical realm.

This is where faith comes into play. Do you have faith in yourself? Do you have faith in a Higher Power that guides you? Really… do you have FAITH? It’s been said that the first step for anything is the hardest and that is true. Sometimes we fear that first step so badly that we never venture into even trying. The underlying cause is lack of self-confidence, lack of belief in the possibility and/or lack of faith in your dream and/or in your ability to create it.

So… If you notice that fear is the cause of your not moving forward, faith is your answer. Faith will give you the courage to take that first step… faith in your Higher Power that is guiding you in the right direction, and faith in yourself; in your abilities to undertake whatever you have set your mind to achieve.

If you discover that you are clueless as to where or how to start, you must seek the knowledge to go about what you want to do in order to get what you want. This is where purpose meets service with a definite goal in mind. The important thing here is to take that first step based on faith alone. Every step will get easier as you go. You will notice that faith will be fueling every step and you’ll become stronger and better at it as you go.

And if you feel that something might be blocking you, remember that your subconscious mind can be reprogrammed to bring riches into your life. Keep thinking of this with conviction and take action regardless. You’ll watch the blocks slowly melting away as you get into the flow. You possess the power to command invisible forces to effortlessly attract wealth.

It is all within you. Courage and self-confidence are absolutely essential to achieving prosperity. And when you’ve got these, you become enthusiastic!

All these truths … and more … are clearly explained by Alan Tutt in his eBook Keys to Power Prosperity. Few ebooks on prosperity include the life-changing, solid, proven concepts and principles that you’ll find in “Keys to Power Prosperity“. I highly recommend you grab a copy and start reading and practicing Alan’s prosperity teachings at once.

Here’s to your prosperous future!

Self Forgiveness

Self Forgiveness

… the Path to a Peaceful Life

Mistakes… we all make them. No one is immune to them. Some are big, others trivial; some are significant and others inconsequential. After all, we are not perfect; we are only human… that’s how we learn, improve, and evolve.

For some of us, mistakes are just a part of life. We take them as an experience that offers a learning lesson and then move on. For others, however, it is hard to let go and forgive themselves.

How do you take mistakes? Do you acknowledge, analyze, learn and move on hoping not to make the same mistake again? Or do you dwell on them and find it hard to let go and forgive yourself?

For most of us, it depends on the gravity of the mistake. Some are easier to let go than others. If the mistake has been significant, the sense of being chased and assaulted by your past faults can sometimes feel like a huge burden that can lead to self-defeat.

If not dealt with properly and on time, it can take its toll and throw you into the painful and self-inflicted emotional pain that comes from guilt and regret.

All human beings slip up and make mistakes… all of us. Nothing new here but it is always good to remember. Instead of focusing on our flaws and imperfections and on why we couldn’t have been better, smarter, kinder, more compassionate or politically correct, let’s remember that judging ourselves after the fact, is not only unfair but it can get intense. Emotions gets mixed and ugly. They can go from sadness to inadequacy and even into feeling miserable. Taken to extremes, tossing and turning at night will likely follow.

Through all the haze of self-disgust, pain, misery, and self-torture, a very important thing seems to be pushed into the sidelines and overlooked: The mistake does NOT have to define us; the mistake is NOT who we are… if only we learn to separate the faulty behavior from the self we can learn to forgive ourselves.

Self-forgiveness is one of the most beautiful gifts that we can give to ourselves. When we give ourselves permission to humbly accept our faults and see ourselves with compassion, wonderful things can happen.

When you detach yourself from the mistake, you will see things with a fresher perspective, and from that mindset, you can explore ways to evolve and improve; you can liberate yourself from crushing emotions, and you start allowing feelings of self-compassion as you become more nurturing toward yourself. Self-forgiveness empowers you to move on and redeem yourself.

You can now see how self-forgiveness is instrumental for the personal development and self-growth of a person. The problem is, few people manage to view mistakes as opportunities to grow. Thus, they must learn to view mistakes from a different light, as a product of being human versus a product of wickedness, and use that knowledge to remind themselves that the mistake is not an extension of who they truly are.

Faulty thinking in this regard is what makes it common for people to feel that they don’t deserve forgiveness, especially from themselves.

Still, many might have the mistaken idea that the more they emotionally beat themselves about their mistakes, the better the world will regard them.

But you don’t have to surrender to that mistaken idea. The following points will guide you towards self-forgiveness and the well deserved moment of glorious liberation:

  • What happened?
This is the very first step towards self-forgiveness. Take a few moments to analyze what went wrong with the sole intention to learn and prevent similar mistakes from happening again. Re-create in your mind what happened and see what prompted your actions and how you could have handled it in a different, more productive way.
  • Why did it happen?
Try to identify why you acted -or reacted- the way you did… where you stressed out? tired? sleepless? upset perhaps about something unrelated? Self-forgiveness is not about making excuses or trying to dismiss the situation. It’s about having the opportunity to explore why things happened the way they did leaving guilt and shame aside while still feeling accountable for your mistake.
  • What can you do about it?
Taking responsibility for your actions and accepting the facts are important steps towards self-forgiveness. Also, being humble and asking for forgiveness will help you overcome your own emotional turmoil. Asking for forgiveness from those affected leaves the ego out of the equation. This allows for self-acceptance and self-forgiveness as well. This is how you acknowledge and accept what has happened as you mend the situation.

Awareness and Self-Forgiveness

Once you go through the 3 points above, you will clearly know that your mistake was an act and it is not who you are. When you detach yourself from the behavior, you are able to let go of guilt and release regret as you become aware of the fact that your mistake does not have to define you as a person. For whatever reason and under whatever circumstances the mistake was made. Just remember that you only did the best you could at that time.

Open your heart and remember who you truly are.

Next, you will be able to see the mistake as an opportunity to learn. Remember that wisdom over a certain thing cannot be attained without the outlay of a mistake, and as a human being you are not exempt from that rule.

The only way to realize that you can do better is to fail at something. When you make mistakes, remember that you have been given the opportunity to learn one or more important lessons. These teachings can help you avoid making the same mistake in the future, and most importantly, it can help you become better at handling that particular thing or event in the future.

As this awareness settles, take a few moments to rest your mind and relax your body. Allow yourself to feel your self-forgiveness as a warm wave that releases the extra weight of your soul, lifts your negative emotions and bathes your being with light.

Finally, if you find yourself still dwelling on experiences of this kind, if you feel embarrassed, burdened, or keep on judging yourself, just know that the longer you go over and over the mistake in your head, the more your self-confidence and self-esteem will be affected.

The good news is that you don’t have to live feeling guilty indefinitely. Take a look at The Release Technique site where you can learn more about what release is and how this technique can help you let go of guilt, regret and emotional pain for good!

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”

Akashic Records

Learn to Read

The Akashic Records

It’s been said that knowledge is power, and in the case of the Akashic Records, I couldn’t agree more… Imagine having a library of unlimited information at your disposal, documented information that contains everything that has happened or will ever happen in the whole history of human kind… what will you do with that information?

Getting secrets to re-establish your health? Attain resources to gain financial stability for yourself and your family? Getting feedback on a particular issue that can save an endangered species? Learning the reason behind a great mystery of the past? Preventing a future pandemic? Attract favorable situations to your life experience based on what you learn from your ancestors?

Truly… What would you do with such an unlimited power?

I first learned about the Akashic Records back in 2002, when I read the Biography of Edgar Cayce, a renowned American psychic who had the special ability to get information through a state of altered consciousness. This ability enabled him to download -allegedly from The Records- answers to specific questions to help people in a variety of situations, especially health related issues. Needless to say, I found it fascinating; however, I could not find too many details on the Akashic Records back then.

A few years later, I came across a different manuscript that not only mentioned the Records, but shared more detail about them. I learned that the term Akashic derives from a Sanskrit word, Akasha, which means “boundless time and space”. Akasha translates literally into ether, a substance that Wallace D. Wattles referred to as the ‘Formless Stuff‘ or ‘Original Substance‘ from which the Universe was made of –but not all of it was used in forming the Universe. The spaces within, from and in between the things of the visible matter are also permeated with this ‘stuff’, making it the raw material of everything, everywhere… (ref. The Science of Getting Rich, chapter 3, 1910)

Thus, the Akashic Records are a component of this ether; they are just in the unseen; in that part of the invisible Universe that is all around us. In these Records, every single thing that has happened and will happen has been documented, just like a mega history book that encompasses ALL times.

The Akashic Records can be described as a mega computer or huge file cabinet where every thought, emotion, intention, and action ever experienced by human kind has been documented.

Other names for Akashic Records are ‘The Book of Life‘ or ‘Heavenly Library‘. By these names we can determine that these Records have a powerful influence over the present day. Deeds, emotions and events that occurred in the past have a large connection with the ‘hows’ and the ‘whys’ of the present time.

In other words, the present is a consequence of the past; and the information within is totally unbiased, matter-of-fact, and non-judgmental. What we have done in the past, has been recorded and has become a compass that determines the probabilities of whatever we attract into our present time. This goes beyond individuality, as it affects us all as the human race.

From the Akashic Records emerge myths, beliefs, symbols and the well known archetypes of Carl Jung. Jungian Archetypes –as they are called- are “ancient or archaic images that derive from the collective unconscious”; the innate universal psychic predispositions common to all human kind.

This is not to be confused with intuition or instinct. Jung believed that instinct is “an unconscious physical impulse toward actions while the archetype is the psychic counterpart”. Once we are in-the-know, it becomes quite obvious that without these Records, human evolution –and survival- would not have happened and could not had been  possible… to this day.

It is also said that the Akashic Records are part of the Universal Mind. So when you learn to access them, it is like getting loving guidance from the One for the future. Moreover, when these records are combined with the four elements (earth, air, fire and water), they symbolize the five human senses: smell, sight, hearing, touch and taste.

Many psychics have talked about the Akashic Records. One of them was Helena Blavatsky, a Russian psychic (1831 to 1891), who described the Records as “the very core or essence of all types of energy, whether it be physical energy, psychic energy or even spiritual energy“. According to her, the very seeds of creation are within the Akashic Records, which are activated by the will of the Divine Spirit.

So… how can you benefit from this knowledge?

The Akashic Records are about absolute TRUTH, and as such they are meant to be explored. They can provide you with insight on your past, present, and future. Once you have access to every thought, feeling, and experience of human kind throughout limitless time, you can work on recreating your own life experiences.

For instance, if you feel you could have a block that is preventing you from achieving success, you could look into the cause of this block it in your past.

From this ‘knowing‘ you can get a better understanding of the block and know what to do to set yourself free from fear of failure or fear of success.

Here’s another example… If you find yourself picking the wrong person for a romantic relationship time and again, you can learn the reason behind that behavior and from that point, you can let go of the past experience that has you stuck in order to start facilitating meetings of possible right partners for you.

In this manner, the Akashic Records can become your book of answers. Once you learn to ask ‘why‘ you’ll find the answers by reading the Records.

The Akashic Records are THE origin of and for everything. They are a trusted source for truth. Just as Edgar Cayce used to read them, we can learn to access these records through states of altered consciousness, such as hypnosis. You don’t have to be a psychic or have special abilities to access, read and learn from the Akashic Records!

The possibilities are limitless… think about it! Imagine being able to peek into time -past and future- and see everything that has ever happened in the Universe. Picture being able to get reasons and explanations to mysteries of human history, or to get the understanding behind a profound event that altered history and even your own life… Imagine that!!

It is like becoming ONE with the Universe! Once you know how to access this power, every single thought, idea, event or intention that has ever existed will be at your fingertips for you to improve upon yourself and the world at large.

Would you like to learn how to access the Akashic Records?

Remote Viewing

Remote Viewing

and Remote Influencing

Time travel, artificial intelligence, teleportation and mind reading have fired the imagination of numerous science fiction authors since the early part of the 19th century, when –according to many- the very first science fiction novel was written. Can you guess it? None less than Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley!

By the mid-nineteenth century, para-psychological research intended to explain paranormal phenomena like telepathy, telekinesis and other ESP, but because these activities could not be replicated or understood in terms of known scientific principles, they were regarded as weird, abnormal and even uncanny, and eventually got discarded by the general public as non-sense pseudoscience.

However, with science making significant advances in recent years – especially in the field of quantum mechanics and quantum physics, mounting evidence appears to support the existence of a world that is imperceptible by the five senses, where the seemingly impossible can be possible, and where the unlimited power of the human mind is becoming more evident than ever.

Thus, even though parapsychologists have long accepted the fact that thoughts and ideas cannot be passed from one mind to another directly, they believe that telepathy –as well as other paranormal activities, are not only real but at work in most of us at any given time (if you have ever thought of a friend or relative that you have not heard of in a long time and then received a phone call from them ‘out of the blue’, you have experienced this first hand.) More importantly, parapsychologists believe that it is just a matter of time for human beings to get control of brain’s abilities.

To support this, neuroscientists are becoming more agreeable to the fact that there is more science than fiction in these precepts as they keep on researching and discovering that there is more than meets the eye. Will this be the marriage between science and fiction? Only time will tell, but for now, let’s explore something very exciting and available to all of us, right now…

Remove Viewing and Remote Influencing

When I first heard about RV and RI, I thought it was a term coined after an Isaac Asimov’s novel, but once I looked into it, I found a handful of fascinating facts.

Remote viewing refers to the ability to see without using our eyes with the purpose of acquiring information from an object or scene at a distance. This is done using the power of the mind, bypassing the sense of sight and allowing the mind to perceive and ‘see‘ regardless of space and time.

This process was first tested and used by the U.S. Federal Government. The goal of the “Stargate Project” –as it was coined- was to determine the potential of this psychic phenomenon for use in military applications. Unfortunately, the project was discarded in 1995, stating “lack of documented evidence.

As I kept reading, I came across Gerald O’Donnell, President and Founder of ARVARI, the Academy of Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing. Mr. O’Donnell, is an Hypnotherapist, who also holds MBA, Mathematics B.Sc. and Computer Science M.Sc. degrees.

His expertise in remote viewing earned him recognition as one of the world’s top technical commodities expert by Paine Webber and Bache Co. and back in the 80’s he was approached by a European Intelligence Agency to set up an experimental program on mental espionage.

It was during his work that he discovered that by using specific mental techniques, he was able to conquer time and space as stipulated in the non-locality theorem of quantum physics, which allowed him “to experience the perceived past and the probable future.

With this realization, Mr. O’Donnell decided to retire from the Intelligence Community and made it his mission to teach these principles to individuals for their personal growth, as well as on a global scale, with the intention to create healthier realities and a better world overall.

The techniques that he has developed and teaches to his students prove that limitations are a perception of the mind; thus, there are no limitations but only those we impose on ourselves. Gerald O’Donnell shows us that the path to live a happier existence is available to all of us. The only requirement is to learn to use our mind to our advantage and in the benefit of all. Fascinating, don’t you think?

Now the question is… what would you do if you could not only ‘see’ at a distance, regardless of time and space, but were able toinfluence‘ your future? Impossible, you say?

I invite you to further explore this possibility, and to learn more about Gerald O’Donnell and his work by visiting his virtual Academy site, ARVARI. Prepare to get your mind opened to the possibilities and then, you can draw your own conclusions…

The Art of Letting Go

Ho’oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian word meaning literally “to make right” or to correct errors. This word is used to describe a technique to solve problems in which family members gather to improve relationships through prayer, discussion, confession, repentance, mutual restitution and forgiveness. Much like a group mental cleansing, Ho’oponopono is a way to release past grudges, to let go and live at peace with yourself, those you love, and those around you.

The practice goes back to the mid 1900’s when Mary Kawena Pukui documented her experiences with this practice in her 2 volume book titled “Nānā i ke Kumu” which translates to Look to the Source.

In her volumes, Kawena describes Ho’oponopono as a practice where family members gather with the intention to bend broken family ties; much like the family meetings that therapists recommend nowadays, except Ho’oponopono includes prayer, confession and mutual compensation.

In 1980 Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, a Kahuna (Healing Priest) herself, developed an updated version of the practice of Ho’oponopono to be implemented individually by all who need and desire to heal their hearts from resentment and discord. The main focus of this practice is to realize and accept complete responsibility for one’s deeds and actions.

Modern Ho’oponopono practice is based on the notion that everything we experience and exists around us is a projection of what we carry inside. Thus, it is our total responsibility to change our reality. In philosophical terms, this concept relates to solipsism – the only thing that exists is our mind.

The whole of reality is contingent upon the self’s perception, or the world within. The events in the world without (our outer world experience) are composed of mere interpretations of the self, having no objective existence. It is our own life experiences that got tattooed –so to speak- into our subconscious mind that compels us to “play them back” every time we encounter a new experience within the same realm.

Truth is, there are no new problems. As human beings, we carry the same blueprint since the beginning of time. We’re just playing and replaying the same old patterns. Carl Jung, Swiss Psychiatrist, referred to this as collective unconsciousness also known as a reservoir of the experiences of our species.

One of Jung’s famous theories associated with archetypes explains this concept more in depth. In it, Jung suggested the existence of universal stereotypes. These channel our experiences and emotions in a way that result in recognizable and specific behavior patterns which generate certain probable outcomes.

Memories are recorded in our subconscious mind and passed on from generation to generation. As we combine these inherited memories with our own life experiences we give birth to our own set of beliefs which make us behave the way we do. Many times, these memories fabricate limiting beliefs that manifest in vicious cycles we cannot seem to get rid of. For instance… how many times have you wanted to stop a certain behavior consciously only to realize later on that you have fallen into the same pattern, yet again?

Realize that every time you are unhappy or frustrated with one of your patterns, is because you are acting based on memories, either your own, your ancestors’ or a combination of both. As creatures of habit, this is why it seems so difficult for us -human beings- to break away from nagging routines or ways of being.

In most instances we are not even aware of this happening. This is also what makes us so unique. It may take years of self study into self discovery to get to know oneself.

The practice of Ho’oponopono enables us to release these old patterns and memories in order to emerge as the pure beings we truly are. It allows us to let go of erroneous thoughts that are preventing us from discovering our full potential and from being our true self.

Ho’oponopono Self I-Dentity practice

The updated Ho’oponopono practice, also called Self I-Dentity, is different from the group gatherings that characterized its roots. It is also different from modern day therapy and counseling. In this new version, it is the individual the one who starts this practice from a place of self conviction, free will and definite purpose.

Commitment and responsibility are present. The individual is aware of the fact that nothing needs to be fixed in the outer world, but that everything starts within the inner realm.

As mentioned above, the first step is to acknowledge that you are responsible for everything that happens in your life. As hard as this may be for some, this is an absolute essential to begin transformation, because by taking responsibility you are accepting that you are capable of modifying those aspects of your life that are not bringing you the results you want.

As simple as this may sound, it is the hardest part. Once you assimilate this and are willing to accept full responsibility, you are ready to move forward.

Four phrases to initiate the Ho’oponopono healing:
Thank you
I love you
I am sorry
Please forgive me

The simplified “how-to”

When you are ready, go to a cozy corner where you won’t be distracted and take a few minutes to be by yourself.

Sit or lay down comfortably, take a few deep breaths and close your eyes… try to set aside any problems you might have had during the day and just relax.

Now, repeat these four phrases over and over to yourself, either aloud or in your mind. Do it slowly and quietly, giving yourself the opportunity to feel the words. Focus on each word and pay attention to how you feel.

Here are some examples to follow…

  • What are you thankful for?
Be thankful for the opportunity to clear this and let go.
  • Who do you love?
Feel love towards the person who hurt you and towards yourself.
  • What are you sorry for?
Feel sorry for whatever you did that caused this experience to manifest
(this is where you take full responsibility)
  • What are you asking forgiveness for?
Ask for forgiveness from your Higher Source and forgive yourself.
Release and let go of what has caused this conflict and/or suffering.

Take a few moments to just be with these feelings. Let go of interpreting, ego and blame. When you are ready to continue, say a prayer for that somebody that is suffering or that has caused you suffering. It doesn’t need to be a prayer from a book, but from your heart. Breathe deeply, open your eyes, smile and go about your day feeling at peace with your being.

Welcome blessings into your life
Let go of “learned” suffering
It can transform your life!

Affirmations to Attract Love

Affirmations to Attract Love
 into Your Life!

Ahhhh… LOVE. Without a doubt, love is the ultimate life experience, an amazing occurrence that can make us feel completely alive. From senses to emotions, everything seems heightened and magnified; our reality is transcended, our world becomes more colorful, more vibrant. When we are in-love or feel love in any of its facets, life seems more meaningful than ever. This is because love nourishes our soul, literally… no wonder is what every human being strives for. Wouldn’t you agree?

Psychologists claim that the entire range of human needs has its roots in the need for love.

When you think about it, you realize that the desire for fame, fortune and financial success emerges from our need to be admired, accepted, respected, and… loved. And now that you know this…

What do you think you could do to live a life filled with love? How could you create a joyful life where love remains the main constant ingredient – no matter what? How could you experience the ecstasy and bliss of love in your day to day life?

Whether you want to attract a perfect partner, enhance the relationship you already have, or experience self-love and the astounding manifestations of living in “love” in your day to day life, you can create this state by crafting and using positive and loving affirmations according to your desires, dreams and goals.

Here is a handful of loving affirmations that you can start using right now to attract, embrace, receive, give and experience the many facets of this magnificent feeling.

You do not have to use them all. Choose only the affirmations that resonate with who you are, the ones that strike an emotional chord, and the ones you can relate to. For affirmations to work, it is essential that you feel comfortable as you state them out loud. Choose the ones that are in line with who you are, and that feel truthful to yourself.

You may want to pick a few that hold special meaning to you and then add a few of your own or combine them according to what you want to attract to your experience…

How to Conquer

Do you -like many- find yourself putting off your chores for later, only to find your deadlines approaching as fast as meteors breaking through the atmosphere? Do you find yourself postponing things until the very last moment? Do you do this more often than not?

If your answer was affirmative to any of those questions, you are one of the millions of people afflicted by the habit of procrastination.

One thing that not too many realize is that procrastination affects not only your life but the lives of the people around you. Think about these two scenarios:

At work, procrastination is the biggest reason for loss of productivity, reliability and trust. If you are late submitting a report, all those involved in the project will be affected as well.

On the other side, procrastination is a frequent cause of discord and friction at home. Really… how many times can you promise to help your spouse with their household chores or to change a light bulb before they stop believing you? Can you see how tension may escalate and create conflict?

When you think about it, procrastination is one of the primary causes of stress for you and all people in your circle of influence. Thus, if you believe that postponing things indefinitely is affecting your life, your job and your relationships, you’d greatly benefit from tackling this habit as soon as today. Correct?

OK, you are still reading and that is good, but… where do you start? The good news is that since procrastination is a habit, it can be broken with relative ease – some say in as little as 21 days!

Too little time, you say? Think about this: when was the last time you put off your tasks until the last moment? Was it a conscious decision? For most, putting off their chores for later is not based on a conscious thought or desire. This is what makes procrastination a habit, and habits are easy to break once you become aware of them and get determined to change them.

Is it easy? Well… in all honesty, not always. It can be hard to get out of the groove if tackling your tasks in a timely fashion has not been a priority, particularly if you have been procrastinating for years and if the consequences for being late are things that you can bear with; but… if you want to improve this behavior of yours, then yes… it can be done.

With determination, practice and commitment, it is very possible to shake off your propensity for procrastination, especially when you realize that this habit is causing extra stress in your life. Who wants extra stress after all?!

Stop Procrastinating

The following five tips will help you become a more productive and reliable person, both at work and in your personal life:

  • Be realistic with yourself!
Don’t want to do something? Admit it! Most of us do not procrastinate when we have to do something that we love. Have you noticed this? Thus, the first step to prevent procrastination is to acknowledge that the task you are postponing is something that you do not like nor do you want to do. Once you realize this, it’ll be much easier to just start it and get it done with.

Think about the alternative and you’ll see what I mean: If you don’t do it right away, you’ll have to remember the undone task over and over again (until you finally do it) and/or deal with the problems of not having done it on time. For instance, you may hate to mow the lawn. If you postpone it indefinitely, your back yard will soon look like a jungle and the work will be twice as hard. So if you consciously acknowledge that you hate this chore and that there is no way to avoid it, it’ll be more likely for you to do it right away and get it out of the way. When you practice this way of thinking often, you will find yourself doing the stuff you don’t like quicker and faster just to get it done and avoid the on-going burden.

  • Lists are your best friends
Keeping a journal will help you plan and schedule your tasks so that you can start them quickly and complete them on time. It will also be a place where you can write down and keep track of the tasks that you must accomplish in the near future.Make sure you have a “to-do” list for the things and activities you must start, do and complete every single day. And make sure you do not overbook yourself. When you have too many things in your to-do list for one day, you’ll end up procrastinating yet again. This journal will help you budget your time and resources realistically.

One common problem is that procrastinators always feel like there is plenty of time to do a task… later. Acknowledge this and commit to tackle your tasks sooner rather than later. Also, once you start, you will be more likely to finish a task and get less concerned with “when” you’ll be doing it.

  • Save the fun for later
Many people put their work off because it is more attractive to have fun right now. If you find yourself thinking… “I’ll just watch this movie and then do ‘xyz’” -or something along those lines, you are more likely to end up postponing, getting stressed and living with the consequences of having procrastinated yet again. While it may be true that you may have plenty of time to accomplish your tasks ‘a bit later‘, it’s much better to finish your work first and enjoy afterwards.

If you instead choose to take it easy and relax before doing your job, you will be more prone to stress and exhaustion, especially when you know you are heading towards your deadline fast. Also, you won’t have something exciting left to look forward to after accomplishing a task!Believe me. Much like giving a child a star for a job well done, relaxation and fun are much more sweet and enjoyable after a taxing job, not before.

  • Do not underestimate time and resources
Oftentimes procrastination sets in when you underestimate the resources, the difficulty, and the time needed to finish a particular task. For instance, if you have to clean the house because you expect guests later tonight, you may fool yourself by thinking along the lines of… “I just have to clean the house. It’s easy, I’ll do it in a jiffy.” The problem is, no matter how trivial the task, it’ll still take time and resources to get it done. When you underestimate the time you need to finish a task, you will most likely be less prepared and set little time to do it; also, you’ll schedule it too close to its deadline. This may cause stress as your guests may arrive before you are done with the cleaning!
  • Keep yourself busy – make it a new habit!
Do not allow yourself to get comfortable doing nothing. Teach yourself to notice every time you have things in your “to-do” list and you find yourself wasting time. Commit to becoming aware of this! It will help you foster the notion that jobs accomplished now will mean more time for enjoyment and relaxation later. After all, realize that if you need to do something now, it will not go away if you don’t do it. So get on with it!

However, make sure that you do not become a workaholic doing things continuously and compulsively. This is not a good alternative either. Allow yourself ample time to rest and to remove all thoughts of concern often and especially before you retire at night. The trick is to find the right balance, whatever works for you. Do not overdo your rest nor your work. There is a difference between taking a break and being idle. Always set a good amount of time to relax and rest while sticking to your work schedule. Lastly, remember to have fun too!

Remember the 21 day rule to break a habit that I mentioned above? What do you say? How about kicking the procrastination habit for good in just 21 days? Will you take the challenge?

Free Will and Choice

Free Will and Choice

Have you ever wondered what drives us to choose one action over another? Have you ever regretted having taken one path versus another? On a second thought… who hasn’t?

Stick with me and learn what might have been the cause behind your choices. But first, let’s start by defining the meaning of “Free Will”… For most of us, the term “free will” is quite familiar. It basically refers to a certain capacity that we -as rational beings- have, to choose a course of action from among a variety of alternatives. Pretty simple, but… what makes us choose one thing over another?

Most philosophers would agree that the concept of free will is intimately linked to that of moral responsibility. On laymen’s terms, acting from free will requires being aware of and taking responsibility for the consequences that our actions may or may not produce.

Assuming that most people in the world were taught responsibility, why is it then that many fall by the sidelines acting irresponsibly towards themselves, towards other human beings, and towards the environment? In other words, why do we do what we do?

The answer to this question may very well be hidden in the “Hierarchy of Needs” by Abraham Maslow. Maslow’s theory may help you better understand human behavior, including your own.

Building Awareness About Our Own Primary Needs

Psychologist Abraham Maslow first introduced his concept of the Hierarchy of Needs in his paper “A Theory of Human Motivation“, published in 1943 and later on in his book, “Motivation and Personality.” This pyramidal order proposes that individuals are motivated to fulfill their basic needs before moving on to get other needs.

Maslow’s theory dictates that these needs are like instincts and play a major role in motivating behavior. When the basic needs are not met, it becomes almost impossible to pursue other things in life or achieve higher needs.

The basic needs –also called D-needs– come up due to scarcity or a lack or something. These are physiological (sleeping, eating), security (safety), social (acceptance), and esteem (self-worth). Fulfilling these 4 lower-level needs is important in order to seek out higher awareness and achieve self growth, as you can see in Maslow’s pyramid above.

When these needs are met, it is unlikely that we create unpleasant feelings, conditions or results in our life. However, when these basic needs are not met, our choices might be affected (or biased) in spite of our free will. This happens due to our innate instinct for well-being.

The fifth level of needs is the highest-level of the pyramid. These were termed by Maslow as the Growth Needs, the Being Needs or B-needs. Once all the D-needs are met, the desire for personal development emerges from B-needs. These needs do not come about as a result of lack of something, but instead from a desire, a want, a pursuit of growth as a individual. From this position, you can fully execute your free will and your choices consciously.

The 5 levels in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

  • Physiological Needs
These include the most basic and common needs which are essential for survival. Examples are the need for water, air, food and rest. Maslow thought that until these needs were fulfilled, personal growth could not be seek out and much less achieved.
  • Safety Needs
This need encompasses refuge and protection. These needs are also crucial for survival, but they’re not as essential as the physiological needs, for one can literally live under a tree but not without water. Examples of protection needs include a desire for a home to live in, a stable job, health insurance, safe places to be in and protection from environmental factors.
  • Love Needs
These needs refer to the feeling of belonging, love, compassion, and kindness. Maslow believed these needs were less crucial than physiological and protection needs. In other words, having friends and belonging to a group is important, but not before having a meal and a roof over our heads. Friendships, immediate and extended family as well as romantic relationships help us fulfill this need for company and acceptance. Also, our involvement in social, community or spiritual groups give us a sense of belonging.
  • Self-Worth Needs
After these first 3 needs have been fulfilled, self-worth needs become progressively important. These include the need for things that reflect on self-regard, personal worth, social recognition and personal achievement. More precisely, it relates to the way in which we see ourselves and the way in which others see us; i.e. self-esteem and self-worth.
  • Self-Actualization Needs
This is the highest level of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and the one from where human beings develop higher awareness and personal growth. Self-actualizing individuals are self-conscious (but not egotistical), concerned with self growth, less worried with the opinions of other people and interested satisfying their potential in their own benefit as well as for the benefit of others.

Love Yourself

Love Yourself

… and Transform Your Life!

We live in an amazing world, filled with abundance that manifests in so many forms; one of them being the individuality that makes each one of us uniquely valuable and beautiful in a very special way.

Unfortunately, many people fail to recognize their amazing abilities, talents, and characteristics, as they spend hours and days comparing themselves to others that are seemingly more intelligent, more beautiful, more attractive, slimmer, taller, richer, stronger, younger, and the like.

All of these comparisons lead to self-criticism and feelings of inadequacy which are only reinforced by what the media says we should look and feel like; and to achieve that, we need to get this or that gadget, lotion or potion, of course.

To add insult to injury, many harbor the belief that loving oneself is narcisistic; an act of selfishness based on ego, detachment, and self-indulgence. This is due to the cultures and traditions that many of us were raised into. These cutures do not teach, promote or support self-love as a part of growing up wth a healthy self-esteem. Actually, some take it a bit further. They judge people that talk openly about their talents or that put themselves first, because that is what they learned to do as they grew up.

Despite this all, we know inherently that self-love is an essential part of a healthy psyque and a well-rounded individual. Self-love is extremely important as the central point to a well balanced life, yet many people don’t even know how to love themselves in a way that doesn’t nurture any of those undesirable adjectives listed above. The good news is that like anything else, you can learn to love yourself without feeling selfish or ‘out-of-place.’

First, become aware of the feelings you have been harboring about self-love as a result of the way you were brought up. To do this, think of the way you feel when you receive a compliment about a talent you have or a job well done. Do you feel uncomfotable? Shy or inadequate, perhaps? If so, this may reveal the block you have toward accepting and loving yourself.

As you think of this, realize that you cannot give something that you don’t have, and that applies to love as well. In other words, you cannot truly love others if you don’t love yourself first. On the contrary, when you don’t love yourself you become needy and you tend to look for love ‘out there‘ to fill the emptiness. Each one of us wants to be loved. Love is, after all, a human basic need and the true power that moves the world.

However, seeking love from a needy stance is a risky proposition because you may end up accepting love from people who do not have your best interest at heart. This is not genuine love and it will not last long. This kind of situation eventually leaves you feeling isolated, sad, and even depressed.

Secondly, realize that you are not perfect, nobody is. I know you know this; however, it is important to acknowledge this and bring it to awareness because from this perspective, you will not expect perfection from yourself.

Also, once you get to this point, it will be easier to learn to love yourself with respect and unconditional acceptance. Know that in spite of your flaws and imperfections, you are entitled to and worthy of love, and the first love you deserve is from yourself.

This does not mean that you will settle in your old ways. Personal growth lays its foundation in self-respect, self-recognition, and self-love. From that stand, you will be seeking improvement in whatever area you want to better yourself at.

Lastly, I suggest you make a list of the things that you love about yourself. Don’t be shy. You know your talents and abilities. Then, dedicate some time to read and re-read them often, and learn to value yourself as much as you deserve it. Don’t let yourself down. Learn to be your best friend by supporting and applauding the successes you’ve had because of your individual traits and talents.

Benefits of Self-Love

Once you learn to love yourself you will get a feeling of permanent contentment and satisfaction. Your self-esteem improves and you become more self-reliant because you don’t need the validation of others or ask their permission to do anything. You don’t need approval to be who you are and pursue your dreams on your own terms. You don’t have to be a ‘people pleaser‘ either, and you can certainly can say ‘no’ without feeling guilty when you authentically cannot help someone.

Love has so many different connotations. Learning to feel love for yourself is the foundation behind living an emotionally and spiritually sound life with the potential for many successes. There is much potential, talent, ability and drive within you to do great things – you just need to start loving yourself and give yourself the opportunity to try whatever you want to try.

When you love yourself you put out your abilities which translates into doing your best at any given task. You embrace the fact that you deserve just as much happiness and success as anyone else. You will also open the gates to receive much love as well, for genuine, true love is reciprocal at best.

In closing, some of us may still need help to break those cultural blocks we were discussing earlier. If this is your case, I suggest you give EFT (Tapping) a try. This amazing technique is easy to learn and implement in just a few minutes. It can be done by anyone and in any place. This technique is very powerful to help you overcome all sorts of challenges. As a matter of fact, the statements you will be using regularly when you practice Tapping start with “Even though (fill in the blank with the situation you want to change)___________ I completely love and accept myself.”

When you think about it, loving and accepting yourself regardless of circumstances plays a major part of EFT’s success. No wonder it works!  Give it a try and prepare to be amazed!

Love yourself and witness a complete transformation in every area of your life!

Make Yourself Happy

Make Yourself

David Schwartz, author of “The Magic of Thinking Big” and “The Magic of Getting What You Want”, was a world renowned expert on motivation. In his speeches, he used to tell a personal story; a moment he had with his young son.

When his little boy was just 6 years old and graduating from Kindergarden, David asked him what he wanted to become when he grew up. Without hesitation, the boy replied that he wanted to become a teacher. David then asked what is it he wanted to teach, to which the boy promptly replied “I want to be a teacher of happiness!

What an incredible profession that would be, wouldn’t you agree? But… can happiness be taught? Can you learn to make yourself happy?

You see, most people believe that happiness is a result of situations and circumstances that make one’s life; something that just happens to some lucky ones which cannot be intentional, predictable, or measured. For some others, happiness is about the possession of things: once I have this or that, I’ll be happy. Yet a few more think that is an all or nothing scenario: either you are happy or you are not. So according to them, you cannot make yourself happy because there is always something going on… and that is that.

Truth is, there is no straight path to happiness out there, or a possession that brings happiness; and certainly there is no luck associated with it either, for every person and circumstance is unique. In my opinion, it is very possible to make yourself happy, but there is only one road that leads to REAL and lasting happiness. This road originates within; it is one that is built upon the constant effort to adapt and adjust to whatever comes our way… and not taking life too seriously!

This doesn’t mean that we are just to wait and see what comes our way either, for happiness is also pro-active. To make yourself happy, you must go out and make things happen and then adapt to whatever results you get from your actions for not always you’ll get the results you had expected. In this manner, you must continuously and persistently dedicate time and effort to the pursuit of happiness, openly accepting what you encounter on the way, adapting to events as you go, having a positive attitude, and making things better when at all possible.

We’ve all heard that life is compared to a roller coaster. I believe it’s a great analogy as ups and downs are a part of living regardless of who we are, where we’re from, and what we have –or have not.

We all get to ride the roller coaster from the moment we are born; however, for those who are truly happy, the ups and downs are irrelevant for the most part. They make no excuses nor they believe they have problems with no solution. They believe there are just situations to be resolved or to overcome. Even when drastic events happen -such as the passing of a loved one- these people manage to get back into happiness relatively fast.

So, how can the majority of us adapt to this way of living? Can this be taught as Dr. Schwartz’ young boy proposed? Is it possible to make yourself happy and live in a relatively constant state of happiness?

The answer is ‘Yes,’ you can teach yourself to be happy! A good starting point is to acknowledge that not one person on this planet is absolutely happy 100% of the time. From this perspective, you put your mind at ease so when some unavoidable circumstances happen, you are not caught off guard.

It is much easier to create happiness from this perspective. Next, it is essential to stop thinking that you must ‘be or have‘ something to become happy. Remember, happiness is an inner job.

Here are a few points to help you make yourself happy

  • Commit to being happy today – right now!

Don’t take anything for granted. Listen, you are reading this article right now. I don’t know you; I don’t know where you are, who you are, where you’ve been or what you do. Yet I know with certainty that you DO have something to feel happy about… right now, no matter what. Even if you cannot think about anything to be happy about, the fact that you have your eyesight, a screen to read this article, and Internet connectivity, is cause enough to feel happy. Just ask a person who’s lost their ability to see and you will value what you have so much more!

  • Recognize that happiness is NOT a continuum in time

Happiness is an emotion not a permanent state of being, and like every other emotion it cannot be felt all the time. Sometimes you feel happy, others sad, some other times you feel frustrated or angry, and then you feel joyful and thrilled, and some other times you just feel neutral. All of these feelings are what make us human, so our nature is perfectly fine as it fluctuates according to the ups and downs of life. The important thing is not to dwell on any particular feeling caused by one event or circumstance. Remember that that nothing is permanent, and you will make yourself happy once you realize that happiness is built from moment to moment.

  • Realize that you have the power to create happiness at will

Engage in something creative, like flower arrangement, sculpting or painting. Invite friends over to watch a movie. Cook your favorite dish for dinner. Go out and do something fun! Whatever has made you happy in the past, you can recreate it and make yourself happy again. Consciously experience the happy feeling you feel and make it a commitment to‘re-live the feeling’ every time you need it by just recalling the event. Remember, your imagination is powerful and just by evoking, we can recreate and feel as if we were living the moment all over again!

  • Learn to access your “now” moment at will

Have you ever felt totally absorbed in an experience, such as watching a sunset, listening to your favorite tune or watching a great movie? These are moments in which you make yourself happy as time and worries disappear, even if temporarily. When you experience moments like these, you are truly in the “now”, and as you surely got it by now, when you live in the present it’s easier to feel happy because you and the thing of your attention become one.

  • Discover your passions and rejoice in the feeling

Sometimes we get so busy and absorbed in our daily routines, that we forget what makes us happy. Do you love to walk on the beach, read a book on your favorite chair, observe wildlife, play ball with your kids, volunteer or pay a visit to the less fortunate? Give yourself the time to do something that gives you great pleasure and learn to enjoy the feeling as you do it. Then, sit under the canopies of trees to reflect on your feelings, enjoy the “after taste” and just “be” with your feeling without time concerns or limitations.

When you remember your happy experiences, do it vividly by including colors, smells, sounds, sensations, and tastes. In this manner, you train your mind and your body to recall not only the memories, but the feeling of the experience itself.

Every time you dedicate quiet time to be alone with the thoughts, memories and feelings that you get to choose, you bring upon feelings of happiness at will. As you open the doors to your heart in this way, you get to know yourself better by recognize the particular experiences that make you happy, so you will eventually seek happy experiences of the same nature intentionally and purposefully. You’ve come full circle now!
