Wealth Consciousness

The Meaning of Money

Life has an interesting way of giving back to us what we put out. It always seems that the kind of energy we radiate as we go through our day to day activities, inherently impacts the results we get from our relationships, business ventures and personal undertakings.

Some call this Karma. Others call it Sowing and Reaping, the Law of Cause and Effect, or the Law of Attraction. Whatever title you give to this, the meaning is the same. You do X and receive Y… every single time.

This is especially true when we talk about making money. Many people wonder why they can’t seem to reap the financial rewards of their labor, even after sweating and toiling for several years.

The answer to this is the presence  of a certain lack that has nothing to do with money, but the lack of a proper mindset, that of  wealth consciousness.

Thus, regardless of how hard they work or for how many hours a day, they keep on attracting according to their ‘poverty’ mindset. They don’t realize that they are the cause and the lack is their effect. They get this automatically and as a result of an unconscious belief.

The truth of the matter is that until we understand the true meaning of money and wealth, and accept the fact that we are meant to live in abundance of all kinds, money being one of them, we will continue to be in the position to create just enough to survive! Here are a couple of premises for you to consider…

First, you must acknowledge that you are destined to live in wealth simply because you are a valuable and worthwhile individual. You are unique and as such you have significant and distinctive experiences, gifts and talents that you can share with the world. When you give of yourself to others you are entitled to wealth as you are contributing to the betterment of others and of the planet as a whole. Thus, the first thing is to work on acknowledging your self-worth and what you can offer to people, society and the world.

Then, you must break away from the belief that money is what makes you wealthy, when in reality it is just a symbol of exchange and just one of many representations of wealth. In other words, to be truly wealthy means much more than having lots of money. To better understand this, let’s take a look at the personal story of Gary Heavin, co-founder of the women-only gym, Curves International.

You may or may not know this but Gary Heavin lost all of his money and filed for bankruptcy only to recover and climb to the top again

Wonder why?

Aside from the fact that smart people learn from mistakes, the main point shouldn’t come as a surprise at all: Mr. Heavin never lost his wealth consciousness, he just lost his money… temporarily!

Now, let’s recognize that money is not everything in life. Money is just one expression of true wealth, and Gary Heavin’s story is just one example of this.

Realize that when you acquire a wealth consciousness you will never live in actual lack and limitation even when you encounter a few bumps on the road of your life, because you will have acquired the experience, and when combined with your self-confidence, and the proper mindset for wealth, you’ll be able to rectify the direction of your path and build material wealth yet again.

In short, wealth consciousness is a mindset, and one you can adopt with resolution if you want to change your living experience to that of abundance regardless of what life throws at you.  Here are three steps to help you build your wealth consciousness:

  • Explore the origin of your beliefs about money

We develop beliefs from our own experiences and from what we repeatedly see around us from birth. Once you know this, ask yourself…

What did I learn about money while growing up? Was it always a cause of friction at home? Did I hear “we can’t afford it” often? Was money frequently lacking? Was having money seen as non-spiritual? Was I reprimanded when I asked for money, with statements like “don’t you know that money doesn’t grow on trees”? What opinions of wealthy people do I remember hearing? What were some of the adjectives used in my home and around me when talking about the rich?

  • Discover your attitudes about money

Realize that your present views and attitudes about money derive from your beliefs, and these beliefs were created by your life’s experiences. Thus, to discover your beliefs about money, you must dedicate time to remember some passages of your childhood and answer the questions above. Once you remember, write down your answers, here are a few more for you…

Do I believe money is a cause of conflict? Do I link money to dishonest, arrogant, shallow and selfish people? Do I handle it as dirty stuff? Do I feel materialistic and non-spiritual when I think of accumulating money? Do I believe having money will change me in a negative way? Do I believe I will lose my friends as a result of having money?

Once you have these two sets of answers on paper, analyze how these lists relate to each otherYou are very likely to see a pattern in which your attitudes relate to what you experienced in the past. Now, let’s dissect them one by one and explore the real truth in every statement you wrote.

  • Decide to modify your beliefs

As soon as you become aware of your attitudes and beliefs as well as the underlying cause of them, you will be in the best position to determine what beliefs are not serving you any longer. Consider that beliefs are not true or false intrinsically. It is you who gives them value according to your experiences.

From this point of awareness it’ll be much easier to change any belief, because once you know, you cannot pretend you don’t know. For instance, if you have always believed that to have money you must work like a slave, realize that there are many people who are wealthy and just work a few hours per week while spending most of their time on vacation or pursuing hobbies.

You don’t need to know them personally; just acknowledge the fact that working like a slave has nothing to do with accumulating wealth. This will help you debunk your old belief, as now you have brought this fact to awareness.

There are several resources to help you understand the meaning of true wealth and help you get rid of blocks so you can transform limiting beliefs into empowering beliefs, and acquire a wealth consciousness. I’m going to recommend two that I have used with excellent results.

The first one is EFT, a technique that has been used successfully to heal and change a variety of conditions, including the clearing of energy blocks and limiting beliefs.

A remarkable EFT wealth consciousness creation technique, is described in Dr. Carol Look‘s Attracting Abundance with EFT book and MP3 audio package. This is a hands-on system, meaning you will get to practice as you learn, which is the most effective way to acquire a new skill.

Dr. Look, an EFT Practitioner, Energy Healer and Psychotherapist has identified the 40 most common subconscious limiting beliefs about money.

In her book she guides you to properly use EFT to create a wealth consciousness with over 60 different EFT Exercises including hundreds of statements that you can pick and choose from to release blocks or limiting beliefs that prevent you from receiving wealth and joy in your life.

She also makes it fun with 8 Abundance Games to help you raise your vibration. The “Yes” game and “Thank You” game are especially powerful. And if you learn better through audio, the MP3 will provide you with the guidance to tap correctly using her affirmations for a successful outcome.

My second recommendation is a book that explains beautifully and clearly the meaning of true wealth and how it relates to money. Written by David Cameron Gikandi, “A Happy Pocket Full of Money” clears the many of the misconceptions that most of us acquired while growing up.

Be prepared to engage fully in this reading (or listen to the MP3) as it is comprised of 234 pages of pure wealth knowledge that will definitely help you question, clarify and shift your beliefs about wealth and money.

I’d venture to say that “A Happy Pocket Full of Money” is very likely one of the best books on money ever written, and I highly recommend you get your copy and dedicate time to study the concepts within. Just click on the book’s image to the right and get David’s book or audio MP3.

For optimal results, I suggest you get both. David will teach you the concepts related to wealth consciousness and money in detail. In my opinion this is a must; much like Wealth 101 to open your eyes to the possibilities.

Then, Dr. Carol Look’s ebook and MP3 files will guide you into releasing blocks that may be affecting your abundance flow. You get to download these files right after your purchase so you can start learning how to attract money in just a couple of minutes! Dr. Look will guide you to generate your own wealth with simple but very powerful EFT techniques.

You’ve heard it a million times. Success starts with your state of mind. Invest in these two great resources that offer a powerful combination for the creation of your wealth consciousness!
