To start, let’s realize that for years we have been lead to believe that we are born with a certain IQ that we inherited from our parents, and it is either high, average or low. Notice that I said “we have been lead to believe” because as you will soon find out, this belief can now be debunked.
The latest social statistics have proven that people with a higher IQ are not just smarter, but also happier, healthier and wealthier; and fortunately for us all, the results of several recent studies conclude that IQ can be treated just like any other muscle in our body -meaning, it is not only possible but highly probable to build it by using certain specific training techniques.
So, the question going through your mind by now must be… Does this mean that anyone can increase their IQ? And if so, how can I increase mine?
Before we explore this exciting possibility, I want to share even better news with you. As I mentioned, recent studies have shown that it is not only very possible to increase your IQ, but also that there are special shortcuts to building your mental IQ muscle, in the same way that protein and creatine are shortcuts to building physical muscle.
Having learned this… would you believe me if I told you that just 6 months from now your IQ could be 25% higher than what it is today? And what if I told you that all you need to do was to perform a simple and fun exercise that does not take too much time, to help you increase your IQ easily? The ONLY requirement is to be persistent and do it DAILY… would you commit to that?
In fact, there is strong evidence that by doing this one easy exercise, you can dramatically increase your IQ – and even be on your way to genius thoughts! OK, I know… now you must be anxious to learn what this simple, easy and incredible genius exercise to supercharge your brain is… right?
Better yet, do it several times a day if your time allows. You must do it faithfully for at least 6 months and you will increase your IQ rapidly expanding your brain’s capacity as well as your intelligence… guaranteed!
Unbelievable? I know, but before you dismiss this completely, consider these facts:
- Catharine Morris Cox Miles, American Psychologist is known for her research in the fields of Intelligence and Genius. She studied the habits of 300 geniuses , such as Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Thomas Jefferson, amongst others. She discovered that all of them had different activities and daily patterns except for one thing they had in common: they all were dedicated journal or diary keepers.
A different study based on her research determined that only 1% of the world’s population routinely engaged in journal writing on a daily basis. The same study also found that the same 1% that dedicated time to their journals every day almost always turned out to be super high achievers. Better yet, they also almost always lived longer than the average person in their same time, place and era.
- Thomas A. Edison wrote an incredible three million pages of notes, letters and personal thoughts in hundreds of personal journals throughout his life. We all know that Edison was considered a genius.
- The brilliant English physicist and cosmologist Steven Hawking developed amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease) more than 30 years ago and was given just 2 years to live. Even though this condition has left him almost 100% paralyzed and confined to an electronic wheelchair, Hawking is considered amongst the world’s greater thinkers despite the fact that he cannot speak, write, or even move except for a few fingers that allow him to keep a journal utilizing mechanical aides and a special computer where he constantly records his thoughts, ideas, fields of study and scientific theories, as well as his inner reflections.
Over thirty years after developing this disability, Hawking shows no signs of slowing down with his contributions to Cosmology and Quantum Theory. Although unable to physically keep a journal, Hawking has managed to develop his brain to that of a genius by keeping a journal.
- As a young man, Albert Einstein invited a young lady on a date. Einstein took her sailing but she later complained about her frustration as Einstein hardly said a word during the whole day. He instead spent most of the day scribbling in a small journal that he carried with him at all times. It is well known that Einstein did this on a regular basis.
There are many more examples of the amazing power of keeping a journal, but I’m sure you get the idea. This little practice guarantees you increase your IQ over time… can you believe how simple it is? As if that was not enough, I’ve got to share one more great piece of news that is going to sound almost mind-boggling, but it is 100% true…
You do not need to write down anything specific in your journal!
You don’t need to have any great ideas, Einstein like formulas, Hawking cosmological theories, or even anything coherent to get to increase your IQ effectively by daily journaling! This fact was demonstrated in the journal of English inventor Michael Faraday, one of the greatest minds of the 19th Century. Albert Einstein admired him so much that he used to keep a picture of Faraday right along one of Sir Isaac Newton as inspiration for his work!
Faraday filled literally thousands of notebooks with seemingly total nonsense. Many have studied the journals of Faraday hoping to discover the key to his brilliant mind, but they all have become frustrated in the intent.
In “The Einstein Factor: A Proven New Method for Increasing Your Intelligence” by Win Winger Ph.D. and Richard Poe, one researcher wrote: “Faraday’s Diaries have the irritating form of ideas jotted down, repeated and forgotten… a morass or articulate and inarticulate principles, concepts, observations and physical facts.” As you have discovered, one of the best methods to increase your IQ seems to be carrying a journal with you at all times where you must jot down any random thoughts as they come to mind.
And as if that benefit wasn’t enough, it keeps on getting better. When you keep a diary of your own stories, random thoughts and ideas, you not only get to increase your IQ but become more creative overall as your mind explodes with incredible ideas as you are able to problem solve like never before.
You also get to retain a healthy mind as you age and you get to increase your life span! The evidence for this was documented during a fascinating study on a group of nuns in Mankato, Minnesota. The nuns are unique in that just about all of them live well past the average age of death for women in that area of Minnesota.
Most of these nuns live well into their 90s, and some even surpass the 100 year mark. At the same time, a great majority of them has never shown any signs of senile dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease. What do you think these sisters all have in common?
You got it… they are all fanatics about journal keeping because it is a requirement of their particular order.
And just in case you are wondering, the study also proved that all the nuns had above average IQs as well. Of course, there could have been other elements to their good physical and mental health, such as genetic factors and the serene lifestyle that comes from living in a convent and praying everyday; however, keeping a journal was the single key element they all had in common. Now, it’s time for you to decide. To increase your IQ, start by getting a notebook and carry it everywhere you go. Make it a habit to jot down your random thoughts while on the subway, in a waiting room, and even during lunch. Reflect upon what you write, and eventually you’ll increase your IQ and enjoy a super-powered intelligence! This is all great news, but be patient as it takes some time for you to see results… remember, just as exercising a muscle, persistence is key.
So, what if you wanted to speed up the results? After all, we live in a technology based world, quite different to that of Einstein and Newton!
